What Nichole Does

Nichole helps baseball and softball athletes develop both the physical and mental sides of their game through private coaching that connects the two. She provides skill instruction in hitting, pitching, and catching alongside structured mental performance coaching focused on confidence, pressure management, resilience, team dynamics, and personal growth.

As Director of Operations at Clubhouse Sports Academy, she sees every day how physical talent alone isn't enough. The athletes who separate themselves are the ones who can handle adversity, stay composed under pressure, and take ownership of their development. That's what Elite Minds is built to develop.

What makes her approach different is how it connects the physical and mental. Nichole specializes in training the underlying movement tendencies that link hitting, pitching, and catching — so one adjustment can improve an athlete's entire game. Pair that with mental performance coaching, and athletes build both the skill and the confidence to use it when it counts.

Background

Nichole spent three years on the University of Texas softball staff under head coach Mike White, working alongside one of the top programs in the country through two Super Regional runs in 2019 and 2021. She also served as assistant softball coach at Saint Martin's University (DII) in Lacey, WA for the 2022 season. She currently serves as Head Coach of the Bighorns in the Lonestar State Collegiate League — a collegiate summer league where she brings mental performance expertise and assists athletes with the recruiting process.

In addition to her work at Elite Minds, Nichole serves as Director of Operations at Clubhouse Sports Academy, where she works daily with athletes and coaching staff, provides leadership and directorial oversight for the facility, and helps manage 9 teams within the Clubhouse Stix softball program. She also head coaches a 14u competitive softball team.

As a player, Nichole was recruited to Long Island University (D1) in New York City and finished her career at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. At PLU she earned First Team All-Region as a catcher, posted a .419 batting average, and had the highest on-base percentage (.503) in the conference in 2017.

She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pacific Lutheran University. A native of Olympia, Washington, Nichole was an Olympia High School softball standout who broke the school's home run record and earned All-Area Player of the Year in 2013.

Coaching philosophy

At Elite Minds, development is intentional. Nichole’s coaching integrates private skill training with mental performance work — building athletes who are technically sound, mentally prepared, and personally accountable.
Through structured coaching, guided reflection, and intentional development, athletes learn to compete with clarity, make adjustments in real time, and grow in ways that translate beyond the field. The goal isn’t just better stats — it’s stronger, more capable individuals prepared for the next level of their sport and life.

Elite Minds provides a comprehensive, holistic approach to private coaching designed to support athletic development, mental performance, and personal growth in sport. It is not therapy or a clinical counseling practice.
